Today you will be taking notes on Focus Statements and Camera Techniques


1.  What is a Focus Statement?  Define
Short sentence that is a central idea about your topic
2.  Why do we need a Focus Statement?
To narrow down the topic
3.  Give an example of a Focus Statement sentence.

4.  Give an example of a Focus Statement in 3 words: (Subject-Verb-Object)

5.  What are the 6 Essential Equipment items you need with you when shooting an interview?
1. Camera
2. Tripod

4. Headphones

6.  Why is a tripod important? 
They keep your shots perfectly steady and clean

8.  Define:  Pan
Moving tripod head horizontally
9.  Define:  Tilt
Moving tripod head vertically
10.  Why are headphones important?  
So you know what information you're getting.




11.  Why is it important to TEST YOUR EQUIPMENT BEFORE YOU GO ON SHOOT!
A lot of things can go wrong with equipment and you don't want to find out about it during the shoot or after during editing.


12.  Define Wide shot:
Give an overall feel for the setting and surrounding.

To establish location

Less Setting, more detail.

15.  Why do we need a medium shot?
To focus on a specific area.
